A Message From Evie:
Hello Future Supporter:
My name is Evelyn Maxine Givens and I hope to be one of the newly elected Oswego Public Library Board Members. The job of an elected official is to represent and serve the
constituency that voted him or her into office. It is their job to ensure that your issues are
heard and addressed. It is also their job to create new ways of making your community
better, or even fine-tune policies and procedures to make them more effective.
Do you feel that the members of the Oswego Public Library Board are meeting your needs and addressing your issues? Do you feel it is time for a new and fresh start? Then consider me for the Board when you vote. I am not a career politician or someone that is just looking to fill a seat. I am a concerned citizen, and I want to lend a helping hand in making this Board better for future generations.
I have an extensive educational background, and I have earned three degrees, including a
Masters, from Northeastern Illinois University. I have worked in a number of different
industries including law, health care, and environmental studies. I am an active participant
with the Kendall County Democratic Central Committee and I am also the Precinct
Committeeperson for my precinct.
Although I am one of many talented people running for the Board, I am ready and willing
to work with others to bring about much needed change to this library district. I hope that I can
count on your support, and thank you so much for your time and for visiting my
campaign page.
Sincerely,
Evelyn Maxine Givens
